Novum’s culture is built upon an understanding of the importance of creating and building equity value. Novum has assembled a group of talented and experienced professionals from a variety of the leading investment banks. They have chosen to work at Novum so that they can continue to have a direct and tangible relationship with their clients free from office politics and bureaucracy. A clarity of thought and purpose which is replicated in their advice and dealings with their clients.
A brief summary of the Directors is set out below:
Hugh McAlister
Hugh joined Novum Securities as Chief Executive in 2009. Having begun his career in the City in 1978, his most recent position was as co-founder of Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Capital Markets which he helped build from a start-up business to one generating substantial profits across its trading and capital markets platforms. He brings a wealth of experience to Novum, having worked at a number of the leading investment banks including 12 years (1994-2006) at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where he was a Managing Director running European Trading.
Charlie Brook-Partridge
Charlie joined Novum Securities as Chief Operating Officer in April 2009. Prior to that Charlie has held management positions at Man Financial and Morgan Stanley and latterly Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Capital Markets where he was responsible for developing the systems, platform and operations of its very successful cash equities and derivatives business.
Henry Turcan
Henry Turcan is a Director and founder shareholder of Novum Securites. Prior to establishing Novum Securities in 2006, Henry was a corporate finance director at Evolution Group. His focus areas are corporate finance advice and broking within equity capital markets and he has extensive experience on a broad range of transactions including IPOs on the Main Market and AIM, rights issues, takeovers and corporate finance advice to unquoted companies. Henry is a member of the Securities Institute.
